Hear stories about Ashland’s Chinese community from 1880s to 1920s, why Ashland police fed free dinners to hobos in the early 1900s, and much more. Many historic photos.
Distance of tour: approximately 1.3 miles. Mostly flat, paved surface, some uneven pavement.

Shakespeare in Ashland from 1887 to 1939 -- Theater+History tour - Meet on "the bricks" near Elizabethan Theatre sign

Learn about Shakespeare plays that were performed in Ashland in the late 1800s and early 1900s, decades before Angus Bowmer founded the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF). Distance of walk: Less than 1 mile. Mostly on paved sidewalk, with some uneven surfaces.
Route: From Elizabethan Theatre area to East Main Street and back.
Meeting spot: Meet on "the bricks" by the Elizabethan Theatre sign.

These are not just old stories from books. Most of my stories are first-hand experiences learned from the people who encountered the spirits. Many historic photos are included. You might find yourself amazed, laughing, skeptical, questioning your assumptions – or, if you are like one of my friends, communicating with the spirits during the tour.
Distance of walk: approximately 1 mile. Mostly flat route, paved walking surface with some uneven pavement.
Route: Fourth Street to Oak Street to the Plaza to the Elizabethan Theatre.

Wow! What a fun and super interesting haunted walking tour of Ashland! My best friend and I do Halloween adventures every year, and this will definitely go on our top ten list of favorites.

I loved the tour. We went to parts of Ashland that I had never been . Peter is a wonderful story teller and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.
